The program is offered by the Division of Flexible Learning (DFL) at IIIT Hyderabad.

The program is designed for working professionals with 1+ years of experience and basic coding knowledge. It will teach you how to engineer AI, as against just using it.

This is an engineering-first, practice-oriented program from IIIT Hyderabad that teaches you how to become an AI engineer, and not just an AI user. You will learn how to design, build, test, deploy and operate production-ready Agentic AI systems in a hands-on manner. The program has been designed for someone who wants to maximize ROI both in terms of effort and monetary investment—in 12 weeks, with about 12 hours of commitment per week, and at a competitive fee of ₹90,000 + GST, you will learn how to build production-ready agents. IIIT Hyderabad faculty and experts in Agentic AI will teach you through live online sessions, interactive discussions, hands-on projects and recorded lectures—all delivered through a world-class LMS. Towards the end of the program you will also get to meet faculty and peers at IIIT Hyderabad during the campus immersion.

You will learn to design Agentic AI systems considering trade-offs, build production-ready agentic systems from scratch, implement deployment and operations for AI agents, and apply testing and evaluation frameworks. The curriculum covers foundations, architectural patterns, multi-agent orchestration, tool use, memory, AgentOps, and real-world case studies.

Basic programming knowledge (preferably Python) and comfort with basic mathematics (functions and their plots) are required. Minimum 1 year of work experience is preferred. Familiarity with basic machine learning concepts (classification, regression, neural networks) is a plus but not mandatory.

Even if you currently do not have sufficient coding experience, you will have adequate time to pick up the requisite level needed for the program. Please reach out to the program manager and we will guide you.

The program is delivered live online using a world-class learning management system which combines lectures, interactive discussions, recorded videos, doubt-clearing sessions and capstone projects. A campus immersion of 2–3 days is planned at IIIT Hyderabad towards the end of the program.

The total program duration is 12 weeks. You will be expected to commit approximately 12 hours per week. This includes watching lectures (around 4–6 hours), completing assignments, and working on projects.

We strongly recommend that you attend all live sessions and watch all the recorded lectures. However, if you miss some sessions due to work or personal commitments, there is no need to worry. Certification is based on successful completion of assessments and the final exam.

All you need is a laptop. No GPU is required for the course assignments. You can complete all work using Google Colab free tier with a Gmail account. For exploratory work beyond the assignments, a local GPU is optional — you can use free API keys, run local models via Ollama, or purchase API credits from model providers.

IIIT Hyderabad has a strong research and applied technology focus across its centres of excellence, and these centres are involved in courses and programs delivered by the institute. The Agentic AI program maintains the same rigor as IIIT Hyderabad’s on-campus courses. The same depth will be applied while teaching this program. Assignments and exams are designed to ensure in-depth learning. The program progresses from foundations to production-ready systems and covers both practical implementation and research perspectives.

You must pass the final exam and achieve an overall score of more than 60% to receive the completion certificate. You can take the final exam up to two times.

We offer a large set of projects across various verticals for learners to work on. If you have your own project that aligns with the curriculum, you may reach out to the program team; it will be evaluated and, if suitable, you can work on it under faculty guidance.

Yes. Faculty and the program team provide guidance and support for the projects and capstone work.

Towards the end of the program there will be a 2–3 day campus immersion at IIIT Hyderabad. This is a great opportunity to meet your peers and faculty. The schedule and agenda will be shared with enrolled students. The campus visit is also a strong opportunity to build your network.

Upon successful completion (passing the final exam and meeting the overall score requirement), you will receive a completion certificate from IIIT Hyderabad.

This is a professional certification program and does not confer executive education alumni status.

At present, there is no official placement or career support mechanism for the program. However, given the wide range of learners who join our programs, you will have the opportunity to meet and build connections with professionals from across companies and industries.

Early-bird discount (10%) and special category discounts (5%) are available up to a maximum total discount of 15%. Discounts are automatically calculated and applied during application checkout.

The total fee is ₹90,000 + 18% GST (Net Total: ₹1,06,200). This comprises an admission fee of ₹5,000 and a base course fee of ₹85,000 + GST. Applicable discounts are applied on checkout.

The application fee and program fee are non-refundable once paid. In unforeseen circumstances, requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The program team’s decision will be final in such cases.

All course material will remain available for 6 months after the re-exam is conducted.

In genuine emergency or unforeseen personal circumstances that prevent you from completing the current cohort, batch-switch requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the program team as early as possible. The program team’s decision will be final.
